Hal-con links!

So I will be posting so wig reviews eventually and I hope everyone's Christmas break is going great. Mine is, I got my laptop fro Christmas!^^ Anyway this post is to show you guys a link a to sites that has me in my cosplay from Hal-con on them.

Here is Snap Halifax: Which my Miku Hatsune cosplay along with Ashley's Madam Red cosplay were featured together. Our photo was taken together. We are on the site and also in the December issue of the free paper.

I was trying to find my Haligonia interview with Horu in our Macross Frontier cosplays but I couldn't find them at all. Which kinda sucks. :/

Reviews

So I'm thinking about doing reviews on cosplay products and wigs and such that I have encountered and had the lovely pleasure of using. I've been cosplaying for a little over a year now and my knowledge of wigs is pretty good and I own I think it's 7 now, though I haven't used them all.

I'd be doing the reviews starting over Christmas break, and starting with wigs since most of my knowledge is there. Can't really review contacts yet since even though I own a pair, I still haven't been able to get them in my eyes.^^;

So what do the few who follow me think of this?

Sheryl Nome Star Date Public Gardens PhotoShoot

Was a very small photo shoot but me and Horu-chan had an Alto-kun to take photos with so it was all good!^^ The lovely TOKO took most of the photos along with Kelesy(Alto) and Rowan. Thanks so much for such Lovely photos girls~! ^.~ -<3

Since me and Horu didn't really get any pics of our trainer and Magnet cosplays we'll be doing photo shoots of them later, like not till next year later; because it is too cold here in Nova Scotia to be wearing that little clothing. We were freezing our asses off at Hal-con every time we went outside, but we dealed with it pretty good. We're hoping to get some awesome photos at Animaritimes when we go and we will be having a few intense photoshoots once spring rolls around here and things warm up. So for right now I won't be posting much since I'll be busy with school and stuff. You never know I might post something awesome before spring, who knows.

Hal-con 2010 Con report

So it is now 2 weeks after Hal-con I think it's time to do a con report!! XD

Anyways I had fun at Hal-con, not as much fun as I could have but still had fun since I got to see a whole bunch of people I never see.

DAY 1:
So Friday we(Horu-chi and I) got to Ashley's BF's house, were we stayed all weekend(Thanks for letting us stay there again!!). Anyway, Friday, got to the Lord Nelson Hotel(a little late, but we didn't miss much only long lines, who can complain about that) and I first thing we thought was "where do we sign in?", since there was no signs indicating were to get you badges were. We found it on the Mezzanine level, and got our badges...which were not badges they were neon green wrist bands, that got in the way of our costumes and looks bad with our costumes all of us could say we highly disliked these things and wanted con badges we could take off and wanted to take these things off. So after that it was time to go find vendors(since Horu and I always seems to migrate there first), well not only was it a more of a hassle to find the vendors then the sign in tables looking at the map of con we had was a futile effort, since instead of having a picture for every level it was but into one and was so confusing to looks at. THE LAYOUT IS TOO CONFUSING!!!!DX We did find the vendors when we met up with Erika and asked her if she knew where they were and she showed us. THANK GOD WE FOUND THEM! So the vendors room also had the artists in it too and it was a pretty big room. There was a good assortment of things to look at and buy and there really wasn't anyone vendor that was being mauled by raid people trying to buy stuff which was nice since then you could look at things with out having to shove your way through. I ended up picking up the Gothic Lolita Bible I had on hold with BigPfeiffer, which was volume 12(I think) of the Japanese bibles(it's so pretty!) and I also ended up buying a Sheryl Nome figure where she is wearing a Kimono, it is super pretty! I found Toko and gave her my Vanille Figure I promised to sell her. The bathrooms at the hotel were super pretty and all the girls hung-out in the girls washroom from time to time. I ended up going back to Andrew's house for a little bit with Ashley and Andrew before the dance(Horu stayed behind so she could take more pictures). When we got back the lobby was packed with people. and that was because they closed off a room so they could have the VIP event but with closing off that room they also had to shutdown the vendors early since you had to get through that room to get to the vendors(confusing, no?). So when the dance finally started they were only letting people in a few at a time, we all just waited and went in when there was less people in the lobby. At the dance the music was good and it was fun but by 10pm Horu and I were so tired we were sitting in the corner on a couple of chairs. I thought was ridiculous that some people actually brought there babies into this dance which was basically a rave and some of these babies looked like new borns. So we left the dance early and went back to Andrew's, we went into the hot tub and god it felt heavenly. we ended up stay up till when the dance ended but that's ok. Friday I went as Miku Hatsune Magent ver. From Vocaloid and at the dance I took off my headphones and turned my bow around so it was in front of me to the side, so I became MikuHatsune Semi-formal ver. From Vocaloid.

DAY 2:
Saturday, was the day panels started and so a few more rooms opened. Me and Horu for the entire con didn't go to one single panel and we really we not interested in any of them either and the Space Channel took over so much. Panels were canceled so the space channel could get them. It peeved alot of people off. So I (can't remember if this was done on saturday or sunday)bought a whole bunch of buttons with horu-chan since at this one table you could buy 8 for $5, I got a little Alto figure and I got an InuYasha phone charm(which is now on my phone). Saturday we did a photoshoot with Kelsey and Toko inPublic Gardens and it was freezing; sooo so cold(next year winter friendly cosplay!>) But it was super fun. Horu and I got interviewed for Halgonia which is a live web show. I thinks that's all that really happened on Saturday.I'm pretty sure someone called me a slut at con, but they were behind me and there were so many slutty cosplays I don't know why they were not asked to leave, since it was suppose to be a "Family Friendly Convention", apparently. When we got back to Andrew's we went into the hot tub again, and after that we ordered pizza and watched the 6th Harry Potter movie. DAY 3:
Last day of con, Sunday. Horu and I ended up buying the last of the surprise figures for this set from Gundam Seed Destiny, though first I bought one and got the one Horu want Lacus and the second one I got was slutty Meer...-x- ugh... Anyway Horu ended up buying the rest of them and now only needing one more from the set of five little figures you could collect(the first one she got was Meer and she was super peeved). So we ended up going out to lunch with Ashley to I <3 Sushi and Andrew showed up after we ordered. We all got the same thing the Curry Don and it was delicious *A* YUMMY~! So today was also the day of the masquerade and We wanted to see it but by this point we realize chances of us actually seeing anything were slim to none. So while i went with Ashley and Andrew to meet up with Helena and Holly; Horu went to try and see if she could see any of the masq. When we found again and asked her if she could see anything she said no and we all kinda figured that would happen. Horu and I sorta just floated around abit and talked to people before saying our goodbyes to people we wouldn't see in a while and left con, we left two hours early. I was originally suppose to be Gijinka Cherrum but due to time and not getting it even started I obviously didn't go as that, instead I went as my original design Female Bug Trainer from Pokemon.

All in all con was fun because I got to see people I never see except at con and cosplay events. What they need for next year is a bigger venue and a less confusing layout; going through rooms to get to other rooms is not really the greatest setup. Also need more signs to tall people where what is, along with getting a better map. Con badges!!!! NOT WRIST BANDS!!! They take away from the costume so much!!!!! >*<

Anyway, that is my con report, it now the longest one I have written. Pictures will be up soon of some of my cosplays from con, I didn't get any pics of my trainer cosplay and as of now there will NOT be a photoshoot for that till atleast spring.

Back from Hal-con

Hey all,

I'm finally back from hal-con and am now able to update this thing. I'll post a con report sometime this week and some pics from con and of my cosplay once i get pics from people and from my camera.

Sheryl Nome Wig

Got my Sheryl wig in finally!^o^ Here are some wig test shots(an excuse to cam-whore myself in it.) I'm wearing a little bit of makeup to make the redness in my face not so apparent.

I've been busy since school started up; but i finally got my earrings for my star date Sheryl cosplay I'm working on.

Aren't they soooo pretty?? I will like totally wear them as everyday earrings!<3

International Cosplay Day!

So today is international cosplay day, and I'm am currently wearing Miku Hatsune Casual. XD Horu-chi and I went and did a little photoshoot at the near by school play ground. I'll post the pics as soon as Horu gives them to me, since they are all on her camera.

Super Picnic the Squeal Report

So here is my picnic report 3 days late....XD

Me and Horu went over to Erika's house on Saturday night and stayed up till one in the morning talking with her, Alex and Sarah. We also had gone shopping a early too.

Sunday we got up and got ready, we had to go get Jennifer(one of the Avocado Cosplay Girls) and also we did some illegal seating in the five person car of Erika's. Sarah was sitting on the floor and ducking everytime we past the police.

So the actually picnic was at the top of a really high up hill, oh how i hated going up that hill. the picnic was actually pretty fun. I was actually in my unfinished Female bug trainer, but the like half way through the day I decided I was just a random person with a pink Chinese umbrella. I didn't take any pictures, but there were some pretty good cosplays, but most were, not to be mean or bitchy, half-assed looking, and some were even ones that I've seen before that were still half-assed and not even updated......

so yeah.....that is my very small report....
