Hal-con 2011 Con Report~

sorry this is so late got cought up in school, work, and then going to a place of no internet..... ^^; so here it is

Anyway, to start I had to get up at 5:50am so that I could be ready in time for Holly and Adam to pick me up on their way through from Truro(Cause I came home the day before). So after they got me, we were on our way~ and after missing the entrance to the hotel the first time, and then getting in the second time, I found out at 7:00 in the morning my hotel room was ready(even though my check in time was not till 10am). So I checked in, got a parking pass for Adam's car, and we went to my hotel room; where we got ready. So at 8:00 we went to the convention center through a mall and pedway(I literally never had to leave the building and step out side) we went to get our bracelets early, which was being offered to all those who pre-reg(which we did). Upon doing that we went got some food(so hungry then;A and then went back to the room to chill for a bit till the con actually opened at 9:00am.

I was Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail on Saturday.

When we actually went back, there was a huge line up to get in! We were so glad we went earlier. This year was so much bigger then last year. So the first place we went was the vendors, which surprisingly had like no manga being sold there at all, compared to last year where there was tons. I was hoping I could have found some hard to find manga this year. I did buy a black/white pokemon figure of solosis/duosion/reuniclus, a disgaea 4 trading figure which turned out to be Emizel, a Monster Hunter cup with a Felyene on it, an art print of Madoka from artist alley and some buttons.

My brother actually came to con~ He only came for the vendors but still! He is a gamer/anime/manga fan too and I keep bugging him to come with me to con but he just wouldn't. He didn't come with us, and he only stayed for a few hours, but he still came! He also was talking about possibly coming to Animaritimes next year~! X3

Met up with a bunch of friends this year! And made some new friends! Hung out with and for a little bit.

Holly and Adam left Saturday and I stayed in a Hotel room with . Saturday night there was people next to us who were load and obnoxious and drunk! and would not quite down no matter how many times they were told. We had to call the front desk 3 times, and some one else was calling too cause we heard their door get knocked on at least 6 times! though the next day the hotel for the inconvenience, took off our internet charges, parking charges, and gave us free breakfast!

On Sunday I spent most of the day in Lolita, which I didn't think I was going to.

So basically the only thing i really did on Sunday was hang out abit with Bree, Zee, and Toko. Went and watched all the costume contest, The cutest thing ever happened there~ Someone got proposed to! It was SO adorable! Ashley got third place intermediate! So happy for her. We kinda of just lazed around till closing ceremonies. I left that night and Ashley stayed in the hotel for a another night.

I'm glad I got to see everyone again~ I miss everyone ;A;

But me and Horu were talking and we were originally planning to go to otakuthon, but since it would take us a year to two years to save  up to go, we think we have enough time to find an alternative route out of Moncton so the we can go to Animaritime 2012~ Though this isn't set in stone, we are praying for things to work out!

Super Picnic 2011~!!

So this past weekend I went to super picnic with Horu-chan~<3 I went in my unfinished Lucy Heartfilia cosplay, we had to safety pin the top closed which didn't work 100% but I was wearing a white tanktop undernear just incase~

So we ended up showing up late but that's ok~ I had so much fun in the 2 hours I was there. I was super happy I was able to see Toko, Zeroye, and Breanne again since they live all the way in New Brunswick! D: It was so awesome seeing you lovely ladies again~<3

I originally wasn't going to enter the costume contest since I was too busy looking for Toko's car so i could obtain Horu's gloves for her Mimi cosplay that they made for her for their big digimon cosplay group that they all entered into cosplay contest together. I was able to get back in time to give horu her gloves before she had to go on to the "stage" with her group. After it was all over they asked if any one else wanted to go on and I said I would so i got my Lucy in the contest even though I didn't win it was fun~<3 Horu's group didn't win either but we think that is because they were such a huge group(they had all of the first season kids even Kairi) ONLY thing that was a little disappointing was that not as many people recognized me as I would expect nut oh well what can you do I still had lots of fun~

But all in all I had a wonderful day and I can;t wait to see everyone again~ I'm going to try to get to the august photoshoot but I don't know I wanna go as Gijinka Cherrim if I go, I'm about 50% done now. Going all depends on if I have/can get the day off. I have also determined that I'm going to finish Lucy and get her all her keys and whip done and I'll be wearing it Hal-con, I'm just not 100% sure on what my second cosplay will be, I was going to be Princess Rei from Sailor Moon but I just can't afford to do it with the expenses I'm going to have this year for school it just won't happen till I hope animaritimes or whatever con I go to next year.

Animaritime 2011 Con Report

Hey everyone~

So this past weekend I went to Animaritime and I had loads of fun~!! :3 But it did have it's ups and downs

Anyway, let's get down to business here.

So Friday Night I had a total melt down cause I finished fixing my sheryl top and then I found out the boots I was going to wear with sheryl were ruined with salt stains all over them, but Cat was so awesome and found a way to get rid of the stains and apparently even though I TOOK OFF fabric my Sheryl top still looked big on me, so I guess I lost more weight.....

So we left Saturday Morning cause Horu-chi has a super important family day on Canada Day every year that she can't miss, so I was up at 5 in the morning and Cat picked me up at 6:30 and we were in Truro by 7:15. Just so everyone know I got up so early 1. to have a shower and get ready. 2. finish packing. 3. Remake my tophat for Miku cause it was the wrong size. (I'm crazy, yes?) We left Truro at 7:50, and we got to the hotel at 9:30~ We were all suppose to wear part of our cosplays but I decided not to cause even if I need to change in a bathroom I can speed change because of my dancing and competitive dancing years. Guess what? The hotel room wasn't ready when we got there so I did have to change in the bathroom, and by the time we were all done getting changed and putting make up on, the room was ready so we just brought the stuff to our room before we went to get our badges. I was Sheryl Nome Star Date ver for the first half of Saturday and Miku Hatsune Magnet ver for the second half. After putting our stuff in the room we went and got our badges and the first thing we did was go into the vendors/artist alley! And me and Horu found the most amazing thing every~ Matching Ranka and Sheryl Pillows for the new movie and they were the last ones! the guy was super nice and held them for us while we went and got money cause we forgot to take out money early. XD But we have the pillows, I have Sheryl and Horu has Ranka~ I also got this super cute and soft stuffer white and pink bunny phone charm for my phone~
Helped T0K0 get her Kai face paint on for the masquerade, it was fun~ Met up with Tom Savage (Savage Bandito) and my friends and I had some awesome photoshoots with him~! (Thanks again Tom~!)
There was two creepers on bikes, at different times of the day, one we had problems with, and I'm going into detail about that.
I got my Friend Allison the FMA watch she wanted and my friend Emily a Munna plushie, also got my brother the first volume of Rave Master. Got a Ranka Lee glass that was from the new movie as well, and was so cute, Horu wanted to steal it from me...... Also got an adorable box deco to look like a cake from the lovely Erika.

Sunday I was in Bitter Sweet Lolita. I had sunburns from Saturday so they were covered which was good. Went to the garage sale and bought three new wigs and some manga and a little clamp character figure. went to the vendors one last time and got some gravitation and ultra cute volumes I was looking for. In total I ended up getting Horu-chi three new volumes of negima. Met alot of lolitas on Sunday~ Had another photoshoot with Tom and went up to the room I changed but kept my loli heels on, and we then checked out and left by 12:30pm

Saw , , , and on the weekend. Not as much as I hoped I was going to but I'm glad I saw them anyway.

So apparently con is going to be on Canada Day weekend again. Which is only a real bother for me cause it bother the people I travel with.....-.- but I think if Cat and Sarah go next year I'll go with them, and then I'll go with Horu-chi to what ever summer con she goes to....

So I'm gonna try and get to the July cosplay photoshoot this summer and hopefully and cherrim...we'll see, it also depends if i have that day off. I think it is also official I'm gonna cosplay Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail~<3

For the Next Few Days~

I'm going all out for con~

I know I haven't been posting at all, but I haven't been doing any cosplay things at all but School is over now and now I just have work, it's all good.

I got about half of Holly's Dragonite hoodie done, just need to fix the hood abit, then I can add all of the details and things, hopefully I can get it done finished in July.

So for con I have to wash two wigs, style one, make a top hat and fix my Sheryl top. I'm hoping to get as much as I can get done tomorrow.~ Wish me luck~ <3

Update

So I haven't posted anything since the new year, but I have gone out and bought some fabric to start sewing but haven't had any time to sew at all since I've been so busy with school!!^^; I'm hoping to be able to start sewing soon.

Happy 2011!~
